Emma Children's Hospital, which is part of the Amsterdam University Medical Center, provides integrated family care. Its focus goes beyond the admitted child and includes the entire family. The center's pediatric doctors and nurses involve parents in the child's care and decisions about treatments are always made jointly..

An important starting point is for the child and his or her family to spend as much time together as possible.. Donation from Integrated Systems Europe will help fulfill desire to develop facilities for children with serious chronic illnesses, for whom the transition from hospital to home is difficult.

At Het Jeroen Pit Huis families can stay with their child, with a chronic illness that needs medical care around the clock, and parents are trained and supported in the transition so that their child can live at home with greater guarantees.
