The 'Avixa Live' program’ receives the support of AV professionals during the health crisis

The initiative of free online courses of this association of the audiovisual and integration industry exceeds the 2.300 participants in their fourth week of activity.

Avixa Live, the association's free training program in Spanish Avixa During the Covid-19 crisis, it has completed its first four weeks of activity with enormous success: more than 2.300 professionals from Spain and Latin America have virtually attended some of the fifteen online courses held so far through the videoconferencing platform Zoom.

“We are delighted with the enormous interest that this initiative is having in the Spanish-speaking AV community around the world - explains Sarah Joyce, chief global officer de Avixa (in the image below)-. The break forced by the pandemic in these difficult times has also been an opportunity to train ourselves and acquire new knowledge that improves our professional possibilities.. “We are convinced that knowledge is an inexhaustible source of inspiration that will help us emerge stronger from this situation.”.

Avixa Live is a free program of online courses and presentations in Spanish taught by AV Pro industry experts, aimed at professionals and students who want to continue learning from home during the Covid-19 quarantine.

Jointly organized by Avixa Spain and Avixa Latin America, This program has the participation of speakers from important brands such as Christie, LG, Equipson, Boxe Professional, THE audio, ATEN y Watchout, inter alia.

Miguel Ángel Martín Diz, commercial manager of the AV Pro division of Econocom Products & Solutions, He is one of the Spanish professionals who registered for the courses. “I decided to sign up because of the prestige that Avixa has in the audiovisual sector.”. The current situation allows us to have a little more time to receive training that I consider essential, and that helps us improve our level of training and certification to be able to execute AV projects with guarantees. It is appreciated that associations like Avixa lend their shoulder in these circumstances”.

Another of the registered students is Pablo Gallardo, CS Solution Architect at Ricoh Spain. “I found the Avixa Live courses very varied and perfectly prepared, with very powerful speakers, and covering the entire real spectrum of the audiovisual sector”, points out.

For Jesús de las Heras Balbás, who also signed up for the courses and who has almost twenty years of experience as an audiovisual technician in Spain, “good training is necessary and very important. In the next sessions, which take place every Tuesday and Thursday, Topics such as audio distribution over TCP/IP networks will be addressed; Fundamental Networking Concepts for Sound Engineers; specifications and photometry in Led luminaires; implementation of the audio system for the Criss Angel show (mind freaks) in las vegas, inter alia.

All presentations are made live through the Zoom videoconferencing platform and are recorded to be shared, both on the website and on the social networks of this association.
