Using interactive projection to entertain, educate and inspire, Electric Playhouse was looking for the right solution to bring captivating and dynamic visual images to life in its immersive space of 7.315 square meters in Albuquerque (New Mexico).
The Electric Playhouse team needed ultra-short throw projectors to create large format images and animations in immersive restaurants and interactive entertainment spaces for special events, large group excursions and experiences.
After having worked with Optoma in an immersive gastronomic event, the chief systems engineer, Chris Steinmetz, opted for the technology of this manufacturer, more specifically by the ZH420UST projector, given the model's ultra-short throw feature, as well as the minimum adjustments needed to perform edge blending for larger images. They needed almost 50 equipment and the price of the model fit the budget.
ZH420UST projectors were installed along the walls of the dining room, as well as in other areas, allowing the Electric Playhouse team to create truly interactive experiences and transport visitors of all ages to different virtual worlds.
“We had a varied set of needs and the ZH420UST provided the answer. The brightness is superior for a projector of this class and the built-in warp drive came in handy when we needed to calibrate images.”, comments Chris Steinmetz, Senior Systems Engineer.
