The Mexican chain Alboa migrates to laser projection technology with Christie
In its entertainment centers it has installed 85 GS Series equipment, with a brightness that ranges between 5.600 and the 13.000 lumens and resolutions from HD to WUXGA. The DWU630-GS model has been the one that has been used the most.
The Mexican entertainment chain Albo, belonging to the Cinemex Group, has installed 85 1DLP technology laser projectors Christie in the 13 complexes that it has in different parts of the Aztec country. The operation has been carried out by the integrator T&T Cinema.
Alboa Entertainment Hall incorpora bowling, pool tables, sports bar, gastronomy, mixology and stages for live events from 50 up to a thousand people. It has 13 spaces equipped with 175 bowling alleys and plans to open another seven new centers in the coming months.
To Alboa, Audiovisual media have always been a first-rate resource to enrich their complexes and provide unique experiences to their clients.. The chain had Christie lamp projectors and some time ago decided to migrate to laser projection technology to offer higher quality, reduce costs and increase efficiency.
“Laser projection improves image quality and has a life time of 20.000 hours makes operation and maintenance costs considerably reduced, by not spending on consumables such as lamps and filters”, explains Fernando Poblador, Alboa Infrastructure Manager.
Poblador also highlights the possibilities that projection offers compared to other display technologies such as LED.. “It gives the flexibility to have a quality image in any space”.
Alboa has installed different models of the Christie GS Series, since the 5.600 to the 13.000 lumens and in resolutions from HD to WUXGA, the DWU630-GS model being the standard in most of its centers. The GS Series incorporates BoldColor technology that significantly improves performance and color saturation.
Each Alboa center uses five projectors to show sports content, musical and entertainment. The equipment is installed in the areas of the bowling lanes and in all cases projected onto a screen with gain 1,8 of a single canvas. All Alboa centers have a video matrix that distributes the image.
Fernando Poblador does not want to stop highlighting the service provided by Christie: “To Alboa, After-sales is the most important thing and we have always had the support and support of Christie México, achieving a close and long-term relationship”.
For Clayton Brito, director of Christie's Enterprise division in Latin America, This operation represents another step in the long relationship between Christie and the Cinemex Group: “We could not be happier for the lasting trust placed in us by Alboa and the Cinemex Group.. Alboa resorts throughout Mexico are known for providing the best entertainment experience to their clients. And we are delighted with the incredible way in which they have been able to use our projectors to enrich their centers with rich and impactful visuals”.
