XP Connect is now available for control and streaming of the popular self-powered portable series from the manufacturer BlacklineX Powered.

When Martin Audio presented BlacklineX Powered, users were able to access the three-channel mixer and the streaming via built-in Bluetooth using the rotary controls on the rear panel of the enclosures.

Now, This functionality has been transformed into an intuitive application that is much more comfortable for the user.. Dan Orton, Martin Audio product group manager and project manager, “The BlacklineX Powered user base has grown substantially and we thought it was appropriate to present the application to the market, rewarding those users and encouraging others with their virtues”.

By determining the way of navigation and user interface, Orton explains that the challenge was ease of use. “We needed to give full control to the end user, with all the functionality of the rear panel and in an intuitive format. For most it is a quick and easy way to set up your speakers and deliver a down-scale mix using simple controls., as input faders, output and high pass filters”.

Specifically, “You can put them in pairing mode to transmit audio via Bluetooth,” he adds., and how we can control the enclosure via Bluetooth, in addition to transmission, It also lends itself to control from a tablet”.

Once loaded, The XP Connect app is absolutely intuitive once loaded, and is designed to control a pair of BlacklineX Powered enclosures. “If Bluetooth pairing in the enclosure is activated, It will automatically search for you and ask if you want to connect”, Matiza And Orton.

Alternatively, in demo mode, the user will see a screen with faders: two channels, Bluetooth, the main output fader for the speaker and an EQ button “that you can configure them as stereo speakers or to work in zones”, underlines.

In practice, This means that a single connected Martin Audio BlacklineX Powered allows the user mute control of all inputs and outputs of the system., with signal level display and access to equalizer and settings.

Two connected venues will offer, additionally, the option of stereo or zone modes, with three-band equalizer and high-pass filters. Besides, allows configuration of XP12 and XP15 in three modes: full range, with added subwoofers and with stage monitors.

The application has other advantages, as the user can store and retrieve three snapshots different, quickly and without problems, if configured for an FOH application.

“We have tagged some metadata, hence, in theory, any product search should take you to the app, but if you search for XP Connect, “That is the most direct way.”, Orton points out

The XP Connect app is the latest addition to Martin Audio's software development program, whose products it sells Audio-Technica Iberia, and is now available in the App Store for iPhone and iPad.
