Held in the iconic building of the Trinity College Dublin, Inception Horizon is a sensory journey around the spoken word, music and projection technology, sponsored by the company iCrag (Irish Centre for Research in Applied Geosciences) and the artistic center of the institution TCD Visual & Performing Arts Foundation, created for the recent world premiere of the same name; work by composer Norah Constance Walsh and performed by the choir Mellow Tonics.

The setting of this event was also special, since it took place on the stairs of the institution with impressive audiovisuals of the underground karst caves of the Trinity Collegue, following the route defined by Laurence Gill, Professor of Environmental Engineering at this academic center.

blankspecifically, on the wall, behind the choir, visual content designed for the occasion by Dara Ní Bheacháin was projected, for which two media servers of 7thSense Peak and four single-chip laser DLP projectors Panasonic PT-RZ660BEJ, each with a power of 6.200 lumens in its central part.

The installation was configured as two banks of two projectors, Separate 30 meters in the hallway. Each Pico server was integrated locally into the projectors, with a network cable that connected each of the server banks for synchronization.

blankAs Fergus Mc Auliffe recalls, iCrag Communications Manager, "produce Inception Horizon allowed us to explore our science in a highly sensory way. The acoustics of the building were perfect to mimic a cavernous underground landscape, and the richness of choral singing was emphasized with the stunning visualizations projected onto the walls of the building by the 7thSense team.. A real feast for the senses".

7thSense Pico Media Server is a compact system, especially suitable for application in wall displays, mobile and small-scale installations, as an alternative to large centralized servers, as it can be mounted locally without the need for extensive wiring or rack space.
