Philips PDS brings its PeopleCount visual capacity control solution to the corporate environment
The Dutch accounting firm Acar Accountants & Adviseurs has installed this new smart screen, that integrates Bosch IP camera technology, to manage and limit capacity safely.
PeopleCount, the visualization solution developed by Philips PDS to help public settings monitor and manage capacity and physical distancing to prevent the spread of the virus and protect the health of both customers and workers, has been installed for the first time in a large corporate office building, after its success in the hospitality and retail sector (more details in Digital AV).
Specifically, PeopleCount has been the solution chosen by the accounting firm Acar Accountants & Advisors, based in Hengelo (Netherlands), with the installation of this Philips PDS smart display, that takes advantage of the full potential of Android, and IP camera technology Bosch to manage and limit capacity and facilitate distancing between people.
Occupying three floors of a modern building, Acar offices have intense daily activity, both on the part of its employees, as well as the incessant flow of visitors who make inquiries and clients.
To respond to the constant concern and threat surrounding the spread of COVID-19, For the reopening of its offices, Acar sought a solution that not only met the new essential safety requirements of social distancing, but also instills confidence in all people and is profitable.
For this, those responsible for Acar turned to the local AV integrator Trusted, who did not hesitate to opt for the Philips PDS PeopleCount solution to meet security requirements, on this occasion to settle for the first time in an office environment.
For this project, Fidato installed a Philips PDS screen, modelo 32BDL4051D, 32” and in portrait mode, connected to a Bosch IP counting camera to receive people when they access the Acar reception, located inside the main entrance of the building.
The Bosch 3000i IP camera is strategically mounted on the ceiling, near the entrance, to automatically count the number of people entering and leaving offices. This data is used to provide automatic real-time visual feedback displayed on the Philips PDS screen., with an immediately identifiable stop-and-go traffic light design.
Besides, additional messages from the company are displayed, including self-developed content on distancing between people and safety within the building, as well as general marketing and company brand messages.
