ISE joins the Llum BCN festival as sponsor and jury
The Barcelona Light Arts Festival, Llum BCN, will be celebrated from 5 al 7 November and WHEREAS will participate in the project with an eye on the February fair, where you can see a new area: Lighting & Staging.
WHEREAS has joined the sponsors and jury of the Barcelona Light Arts Festival, Llum BCN, which will be celebrated from 5 al 7 November in the Poblenou district of Barcelona.
It's a festival, that organizes the Barcelona City Council, It is one of the most anticipated events on the city's cultural calendar and this year its tenth edition is brought forward to November, as it prepares to return to its usual format in February 2022.
“The impact that light can have as art has long been an area of interest for ISE and we are very proud to be involved in this light arts show in Barcelona. It will be an extraordinary exhibition and we look forward to bringing some of its magical elements to ISE 2022 next year at Fira Gran Vía”, comments Mike Blackman, executive director of Integrated Systems Events.
At Llum BCN you can see national and international creators using light, the movement, virtual reality and artificial intelligence in their works of art to explore new forms and meanings for the city.
for three nights, artists like Pablo Valbuena, Quiet Ensemble, Playmodes, Guillermo Santomá, Onionlab and Tigrelab will join 16 art schools, design, lighting and architecture in Barcelona in a great event that will show the creative impact of light, digital technology and moving images.
The evaluation by the jury will take place during the weekend when the groups will visit all the functions. The Director of Operations at Integrated Systems Events, André Hoojer, will join the jury this year, which also includes Cristina Castells, director of the Barcelona Local Energy Agency; Eulàlia Bosch of the Eugénia Balcells Foundation; Marion Omedes, winner of the National Culture Prize of Catalonia 2011, awarded by CoNCA in the audiovisual category; Jordi Costa, cultural manager and university professor; and Maria Güell, artistic director of Llum BCN.
Lighting has long been an integral part of the ISE show and plans are already underway to expand this area at ISE 2022. For example, Demonstration areas have been expanded, with a new area of Lighting & Staging which will feature many technologies designed to create amazing and immersive experiences with light.
Integrated Systems Europe (WHEREAS 2022) will take place in Barcelona Fair Gran Via 1 al 4 February 2022. Your conference program will take place from Monday 31 from January to Friday 4 February.
