Elation offers a powerful IP65 beam of light with Proteus Excalibur
Designed to be the new reference reflector of Elation, The Proteus Excalibur mobile luminaire offers an IP65 beam of light up to 200.000 lux a 20 meters away.
Excalibur It is the most recent luminary of the Proteus cama of Elation, which has a long-range beam and wide front opening to create aerial columns of light, sweeping beams, CMY and FX color releases that rival existing xenon reflectors on the market.
From Elation they point out that “is capable of creating effects “as magical as its legendary namesake, Proteus Excalibur“, so it is indicated for application in theme parks, cruises, outdoor special events, shows, concerts, etc. where a massive beam or very powerful prismatic and floral effects are required.
This full beam luminaire with IP65 protection produces incredible light output of up to 200.000 lux a 20 metros away (7.500 lux a 100 metros) from a compact body.
He light beam of only 0.8° of Proteus Excalibur, which competes with current xenon projectors and sky trackers, ensures that the luminaire 'passes’ the sky effortlessly and be visible at great distances. To do this, it is projected from an ultra-wide front lens of 260 mm like a huge column of solid light, like a lighthouse.
Design options
A wide range of gobos (eight interchangeable and one seventeen position static wheel) and superimposed prisms (four and eight faceted) allow a wide variety of dynamic animations from the sky that add excitement and attract attention to any event, allowing Excalibur to perform impressive aerial shows without the need for an external DMX controller.
Proteus Excalibur offers a complete blend of colores CMY, plus fourteen colors dichroic, including CTO and UV. With this great intensity of light, all CMY colors remain solid and vibrant, even when fully saturated.
Beam control through precise focus lens internal provides sharp projection, no optical errors. The variable double frost allows the beam to be softened when necessary and a expanding lens with remote control extends the beam up to, approximately, 3,5º for an even fuller look.
Flex lamp efficiency
Elation Proteus Excalibur uses the technology of Flex lamps of Philips to achieve a long service life, lower energy consumption and installation maintenance. Discharge lamp/ballast package produces very high output for such a compact luminaire, while performance remains economical, with a lamp life of until 4.000 hours.
Philips Platinum 500 Flex (550 W) It is adjustable through the internal ballast, that not only adjusts the lamp electronically, but it offers a hibernation mode that reduces its power when it is not in use, with the consequent lower energy consumption, in addition to prolonging the useful life of all components thanks to the fact that less internal heat is produced.
Excalibur is compatible with DMX protocols, RDM, Art-NET y sACN, in addition to equipping the professional features and IP65 connections of a Proteus luminaire from Elation.
