The immersive art experience ‘Homebody’ relies on projection
The multidisciplinary artist Allison 'Hueman' Torneros has used the projectors of Epson to ‘Homebody’, your first immersive art experience, that has shown in Ciel Creative Space and Berkeley (California – EU).
With an extension of more 1.800 m2, the immersive experience Homebody from the artist Allison Hueman Torneros explores themes of identity through large portraits, sculptures and murals created with projection mapping and technology augmented reality.
Torneros collaborated with the projection designer Craig Winslow to create this digital work in 360º that has been exposed until the past 20 from February to Ciel Creative Space and Berkeley (California), and for which projectors have been used Epson LightScene y Pro Series in three facilities.
As the artist explained in a statement, “the last two years have affected the way people see themselves and others, and the collective experience in isolation is something worth reflecting on. With this exhibition I wanted to explore identity in the context of an unprecedented moment in time, at the intersection of art and technology”.
Epson laser projection technology “has allowed me to create an immersive installation, immersing visitors in a colorful mix of the abstract and the figurative, providing a 360º experience that plays with transparency themes, luz, color and space, adds Torneros.
The Epson LightScene EV-110 laser projector provides 2.200 lumens, combining lighting and projection in a discreet format to integrate into galleries, museums, exhibitions or corporate events. For your part, the Pro L1200U model, designed for rental and installation environment, contributes 7.000 lumens of WUXGA power and resolution with 4K technology and flexible horizontal and vertical placement for 360º projection, as in the case of this exhibition.
