Planar Improves Competition Experience at Long Bridge Aquatic Center

A large outdoor LED video wall from the CarbonLight CLO series Planar, with pixel pitch 3,9 mm and IP65 protection, offers clear visual tracking of competitions at this American aquatic center, as well as an informative and promotional channel.

Recently opened, the aquatic and fitness center Long Bridge, a modern sports and recreational facility 8.547 m2 located in Arlington (Virginia – EU), offers numerous community services dedicated to these activities.

Its facilities have an Olympic competition pool of 50 meters with trampolines; another recreation for families, with water games and a lazy river and water slide; a gym 743 m2, with cardio room, weight and group training, as well as aquatic classrooms and common rooms.

The Long Bridge center has also incorporated audio and video technology throughout the facility, which stars in a large outdoor LED video wall from the series CarbonLight CLO from the manufacturer Planar, with a surface of 6×11,5 metros and a pixel pitch de 3,9 mm in one 12 configuration×8, strategically located above the competition pool area.

Flexible uses, numerous options

Long term, Rodríguez foresees that the video wall will help attract larger events, as well as supporting external uses, such as the rental of facilities. “One of the things we hope to do soon is a movie night, with people enjoying the movie from the pool, from the terrace or even from our spectator seating area. We can do many different things with this big screen; “The opportunities are endless.”.

Another advantage highlighted by Rodríguez is that “the user experience has been very easy.. We do not have dedicated AV staff in the center, so our staff operates the video wall and it is being really simple”.
