PPDS updates its range of Philips X-Line FHD and UHD video wall displays
New features, design, sizes and experiences star in the updated Philips X-Line FHD and UHD range 24/7 of PPDS, that offers great clarity and image quality for all types of content in retail environments, companies and control rooms.
The latest evolution of the series X-Line of Philips, which has recently been known in InfoComm 2022, consists of six new models with direct Led backlight and different sizes, each of which presents a bezel-less design (of 0,9 mm a 3,5 mm) and updated features and functionality to adapt to specific environments, like retail, companies and control rooms.
From single panel installations to video wall configuration, Each of the new Philips X-Line displays offers a performance 24/7. Responding to market demand
The expansion of Philips' popular X-line series further reaffirms PPDS' long-term commitment to the video wall market., making the strategic decision to boost investment and its R&D resources to produce innovative video wall technologies and solutions.
Philips presented the first video walls in WHEREAS in the decade of 1990, and this technology remains a fundamental part of the past, the present and future of the company. Improving the retail experience
Developed with retail in mind, the new Philips X-Line BDL2105X 49” and BDL2105X 55” are equipped to offer spectacular visual experiences, highly immersive and captivating 24 hours of the day, both day and night, inside stores, shopping and leisure centers.
Thanks to the combination of high quality, a nearly bezel-less design (3,5 mm) and the latest PPDS innovations, Philips X-Line offers quality imagen Full HD (1.920×1.080p), a shine of 500 cd/m² and exclusive software support Pure Colour Pro from the manufacturer, Delivering higher luminance through custom color temperature adjustments and advanced gamma calibration.
As in all models of the Philips X-Line range, Installations are quick and easy, with two or more Philips professional displays connected to create a mosaic video wall, no need for external devices. A single player handles the content, whether for four or forty screens.
Meetings without limits
The latest range of Philips X-Line models also introduces three specific models for use in corporate environments, like meeting rooms, of joints, lobbies and public spaces.
The new series, which replaces the existing models in the Philips X-Line range, includes variants BDL3207X 55” (bezel 3,5 mm); BDL4107X 55” (bezel 1,78 mm) y BDL8007X 55” (bezel 0,99 mm), delivering content the way it was intended to be viewed, with optimal clarity.
With a high-impact Full HD screen - which mirrors that of the series 2000- and with a high improved brightness 700 cd/m², These models have been created to support any content, static or dynamic, white or black.
With the pre-calibrated screens, Philips X-Line makes even the most difficult content, like the small fonts used in detailed Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint presentations, are perfectly readable on a large scale, without blur affecting the viewing experience.
The BDL8007X also features a automatic backlight control to save energy, helping to reduce operating costs for a lower cost of ownership, while aligning with sustainability goals.
Mitch Rosenberg, new director of LED and LCD video walls from PPDS, explains that “the quality of the screen, be it an individual or a large scale video wall installation, can make a meeting decisive. As part of an increasing focus on supplying next-generation display technologies to support the control room and video surveillance markets (including security), PPDS has presented a new variant of the model Philips X-Line 65”.
With a screen with 4K resolution (3.840×2.160) higher performance, the new model BDL6005X is designed to work 24/7 and can be fully customized to suit customers' needs and requirements.
For these environments, 65” X-Line screen can display content from multiple sources in real time, with enhanced ultra high definition image quality.
Like the Philips X-Line models within the business-oriented series, 65” model is fully calibrated to fit white backgrounds. The combination of 4K resolution and a brightness of 500 cd/m² makes it easy for content - even small letters and numbers- appear clearly for maximum realism.
The ultra-narrow bezel of 3,5 mm Philips X-Line ensures near-seamless connectivity between panels, to create a unique screen effect, regardless of the number and size of the panel.
A total solution
All Philips X-Line models continue to include access to the exclusive plataforma CMND PPDS to effortlessly manage and monitor content through an intuitive interface.
Besides, thanks to the inclusion of FailOver, screens will never go blank, now automatically switch primary and secondary inputs to ensure content continues playing, even if the main source goes down.
X-Line customers can also continue to benefit from the processing power of the SoC Android without the cables, with a CRD50 module optional that easily inserts into one of the OPS slots and contains all the necessary connections, including power supply.
To make installation even easier, Each of the new Philips X-Line models is delivered with IR and RS232 cables, managed by a LAN connection, ready to daisy chain via DisplayPort.
