AV Experience Zone 2022 takes stock with very positive results
Of the 1.400 people who attended the AV Experience Zone event, that organizes Avixa, 200 have been students, 400 technicians and 800 end customers.
Nearly 1.400 people attended the second edition of the AV Experience Zone, the event organized by Avixa within the framework of the last edition of WHEREAS 2022 in Barcelona, aimed at bringing Ibero-American end clients closer to the professional audiovisual industry and integration companies.
During four days more than 12 sessions in Spanish aimed primarily at retail verticals, corporate, education and hospitality hand in hand with around 60 speakers from Spain and Latin America.
Of the 1.400 people who attended the event, 200 have been students, 400 technicians and 800 end customers. The idea of the event was to show end customers the latest technological trends, in addition to everything that AV integration companies are capable of providing you. The public enjoyed a program with current content, where more than 25 AV integration companies, creativity and software development.
One of the best received sessions was the one dedicated to audiovisual technologies for education today and tomorrow., which was attended by more than 300 sector professionals, representing the 130 educational centers, both public and private universities, institutes, VET schools and international schools such as British Council School de Madrid and the French Lyceum of Barcelona, inter alia.
There was also a session organized by Zoom Festival and Avixa where new models of consumption of audiovisual content on digital platforms were debated, which included the participation of RTVE content directors, Movistar and TV3.
Another of the featured sessions was the one focused on new intelligent collaboration tools for workspaces, and had a keynote of Nathalie Regniers (EMEA Strategic Marketing Lead Meeting Rooms en Microsoft) on the value of technology for inclusive hybrid work. The panel was moderated by Antonio Cruz, Director of Modern Workplace at Microsoft Spain.
The now traditional session dedicated to retail focused on new experiences, placing special emphasis on creativity so that retailers can create personalized shopping experiences and communicate more effectively and attractively with their customers.
The panel dedicated to digital signage had representatives of Spanish firms as speakers nsign.tv, Overcome them y Deneva and focused on the evolution of CMS platforms that already allow retailers to fully interact with their audiences., linking with your PRs, conducting product comparisons and satisfaction surveys, executing analytics functions by artificial intelligence, creating WOW effects and collecting input from your clients.
In this session it became clear that digital signage is not only for big brands, but also small and medium-sized stores can benefit from this technology with options for all budgets. The role of Spain as a world leader in this industry and one of the largest producers of technological solutions for the Retail sector was also highlighted..
There were also sessions dedicated to the immersive sound experience (organized by Afial); the use of NAS servers in the AV sector (organized by Avify); IoT and AI applied to sports retail (organized by the Coitt); the new opportunities presented by the metaverse (organized by the Catalonia AV Cluster); and the transformation of the sports industry thanks to audiovisual technologies (organized by the Sports Cluster Indescat).
In addition, two master classes were held in English for students and technicians., one of them on the challenge of AI in audio technologies by Xavier Serra, director of the Music Technology Group of the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) from Barcelona, and the other about the generation of virtual 3D content for the metaverse, which had as speaker Jaume Gallego Vila, from the Higher School of Industrial Engineering, Aerospace and Audiovisual of Terrassa (Eseiaat) from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC).
Another highlight of the event was the guided tours of 12 fair stands that were organized to 200 end clients of the education sectors, retail, hospitality y corporate. These visits were sponsored by Shure, Jabra, Yamaha, Crestron, nsign.tv, Sharp/NEC, Alfalite, Barco, Neat, Logitech, TechData Maverick y Arthur Holm.
