Avolites Titan 16 streamlines the workflow of lighting operators
The latest version of Titan, Integrated lighting and multimedia control software Avolites, introduces functions that expand the flexibility and speed of programmers in this environment.
Avolites Titan 16 significantly improves the work of technicians with the vista Freeform Layout, which offers the possibility of organizing and select luminaires in a 2D design, manually or automatically, from the viewer Capture integrated, which streamlines workflow from design to programming.
This new version 16 provides a visual representation of the current status of the bindings and is accessed from a new window called Layouts, so professionals can include group pulls in designs to make fixture selection even easier.
Another of its advantages is the creation of multiple provisions, which allows having more than one arrangement of the luminaires or separating them into specific arrangements. The view supports multi-touch gesture controls for zoom and pan.
a new window, called ‘Cue List Tracking View’, provides a way to view and edit the values and tracking of individual devices/attributes in a list of cue. A button has also been added ('See tracking') to playback view context menu.
Paul Smith, creative lighting designer and programmer, who has played a decisive role in the development of the new functions Freeform Layout y Cue List Tracking View, explains that “it is the fastest show I remember programming, that goes from concept to creation to opening night, and that is due in large part to the work done by the Avolites software and support team”.
The design views (Freeform) and tracking using Avolites consoles have led to a much more viable solution. “I have continued to use the Titan v16 on my concert tours over the past few months,” adds Smith.- and it has been of great help in the development of four new productions and has helped me give free rein to quite creative programming.”.
Taking into account customer feedback, Avolites has included in this version new bug fixes and improvements in operational performance of the software. For example, Before the fading of the forms was not linear, and with the version 16 the shapes blur linearly.
The speed of various software functions, like the update, selection and deletion, has improved considerably, which is especially beneficial when managing a large number of devices. Added to this are the key profile buttons, which now dynamically resize to ensure the name and actions are fully visible.
The set of Synergy features reset now NDI streams when Multiview window moves between console screens, which only takes a few seconds. Plus a new file showing all the new features of the latest versions.
As pointed out Paul Wong, CEO of Avolites, “Our goal is to offer users intuitive and easy-to-use tools to simplify programming. Titan 16 keep fulfilling this promise, with the addition of a new set of convenient, time-saving features, taken from user comments”.
