The Israel Opera House invests in Robe Led lighting
As part of its renewal in more efficient technologies, this Tel Aviv performing institution (Israel) has installed the manufacturer's first Esprite moving lights Robe.
With an average of seven major productions per season, the Opera House from Israel constantly works with international lighting designers and directors, since it is one of the most difficult scenic elements to perform, and has started an investment project to renew the lighting systems already installed with more efficient ones based on LED technology..
As Eyal Levi explains, responsible for lighting of this performing institution, “We have invested in twenty-seven Robe Esprite moving lights, the first from this manufacturer that we have, “as part of our campaign to install more LED lighting fixtures and future-based technologies”.
After carrying out several tests and trials with different products, Levi and the room lighting department, formed by three programmers, two lighting heads, ten technicians and some advisors, Esprite luminaires were selected for their performance for the needs of this space.
The Led luminaires were chosen based on four main criteria: regulation, shutter precision, color mixing and quiet operation. Added to this is also the technical support offered by the Robe distributor., in this case Danor Group, as well as the price.
The twenty-seven Esprite units have been mounted on the upper rig above the theater stage, with capacity for 1.600 spectators, and are controlled by a grandMA3 console from MA Lighting, also purchased as part of the lighting renovation.
As Eyal Levi points out, “Robe is one of the leading global moving light manufacturers., and now we prefer to work with a smaller and more rationalized number of brands for better operational efficiency”.
