Elation and Thunder City transform events at Yuengling Center stadium

The new lighting of this multipurpose American venue uses Fuze SFX Led Spot FX luminaires and Rayzor moving heads 760 of Elation, composed of Thunder City Production Solutions to create dynamic effects.

With capacity for 10.500 spectators, estadio Yuengling Center, located on the main campus of the University of South Florida (in Tampa, EU), hosts everything from sports competitions to international music concerts.

However, Despite its rich history and impressive infrastructure, The management considered that the venue was missing a certain 'spark' that could elevate its events to a new level.

To this end, the production and integration company Thunder City Production Solutions, in charge of live broadcasts, the lighting of sporting events and the management of the venue's control room, was associated with Elation Lighting to create a new lighting experience with the selection of your luminaires Fuze SFX Led Spot FX and moving heads with wash effect Rayzor 760.

Uncompromising performance

The versatility of the Fuze SFX luminaire, that combines spot functions, beam y wash, fits perfectly to the dynamic range of events held at the venue, offering a wide spectrum of lighting effects for every occasion.

However, to ensure that the luminaire was appropriate for the location, Thunder City organized a test to compare Fuze SFX with the luminaires Proteus Lucius y Proteus Maximus de Elation.

Aware of the paramount importance of security in such a dynamic environment, Thunder City designed a personalized system of rigging T-Bar redundant safety device to suspend the Fuze and Rayzor luminaires from the jumbotron hanging in the center.

One by Magmatic Sidewinders, high speed co2 fog machines, placed at 6 meters inside a tunnel through which the teams pass before each game, improve the immersion experience. Pointing outwards, dense fog fills the tunnel and spreads across the court when the players leave.

Using a Atmosity fast dissipating fluid de Magmatic, fog lingers long enough for pre-match introductions, but then quickly dissipates to offer a clear, unobstructed view.

Uniting all these elements is a lighting console Obsidian NX2, con remote control X-Net, offering efficient yet complex programming of amazing lighting effects.
