Kscape and Samsung collaborate to reinvent meeting spaces
The solution implemented in the experience center of Samsung in Frankfurt is based on Rail technology Kscape and the audio of K-Array, as well as the control of AMX CT and video conferencing solution Logitech Rally Plus.
K-Array and Kscape have helped transform meeting rooms in the Samsung experience center in Frankfurt. The result is a solution based on Rail, Aiming to eliminate cable chaos through integrated lighting and audio capabilities within a single dedicated product.
“Kris and I shared frustration with the disorganization and complexity of modern meeting rooms.. We were clear that the loss of productivity caused by cable clutter and technological problems during video calls represented a huge loss of time and money for companies.”, explains Tom Fish, Global Director of Sales and Marketing at Kscape. “We started talking about how Rail and Samsung could be used together to create a smart, simplified meeting space, without cables and with connectivity plug and play“.
One of the main objectives of this project was to challenge the current rules regarding meeting rooms. Samsung experience center meeting space needed a makeover, so the opportunity arose to show a new vision in advanced meeting rooms.
In the meeting room, two Rail units with symmetrical and tunable lighting are installed above the table. And subwoofer Truffle-KTR25, placed under the table, adds depth to the audio experience, and an amplifier Commander-KA04, both of K-Array, feeds both Rail and Truffle.
“Rail takes the necessary components of a modern meeting space, clear audio and dimmable lighting, and brings them together in a way that eliminates excessive wiring and multiple control”, Ríby explains. “Thanks to the integration of control plug-ins, Tunable lighting and audio can be managed via controller AMX Muse, giving room occupants the ability to adjust the environment throughout the day”.
The screen Samsung The Wall, composed of modular LED panels, used in the front of the room, ideal for formal executive meetings; while a screen is installed on the back Samsung Flip of 85 inches for more informal and collaborative meetings.
The videoconference is carried out through a system Logitech Rally Plus. AMX CTC Pro acts as a control system that unifies all the technology in the room and provides users with a plug-and-play experience.
Room controls can seamlessly switch between meeting and video conferencing mode, eliminating the need to adjust speakers or connect additional devices or laptops.
“It was important to show the evolution and future of meeting rooms in this space. As part of this, eliminating clutter and complexity on the table was a key factor in the design, making the room easy to use and understand. “The addition of Kscape Rail allowed us to include high-quality discrete audio and high-end lighting fixtures in a single unit.”, affirms Kris Hogg, Head of Samsung Partnerships.
The collaboration at this Frankfurt experience center represents a step forward in the reinvention of meeting spaces and demonstrates Samsung and Kscape's commitment to offering solutions that respond to the changing needs of companies..
