Analog Way con M2 Events

M2 Events Group bets on the presentation system and 4K/8K video wall processor from Analog Way to make the transition to LED technology and control a high-resolution screen in a renovated auditorium.

A company based in Manhattan needed to renew its display system and opt for LED technology. The project has been carried out by M2 Events Group and Analog Way technology has been incorporated to promote its contents..

The design-build project marked an extensive improvement for the space and its high-tech control room, acting as an audiovisual center feeding an additional meeting room on another floor and a broadcast studio in the basement.

“Our specialties are rental, staging and integration of live events for big actors”, Expaic Forms of, director of special projects at M2 Events Group, which is composed of Directions AV, Music Matters Productions y Big Picture. “The client knew how we managed live event projects and came to us when their audience needed an update.”. The space originally had a wall of 3.6 inch LCD monitors.×1,8 installed in 2005, so add a 7.3 Led wall×2 meters and 0,9 mm with 8Kx2K resolution was a big step forward for them”.

The auditorium is a flexible and multipurpose space with capacity for about 250 personas. It can be set up theater-style with the audience facing a raised stage and lectern or equipped with rectangular classroom or conference tables..

Used almost daily for meetings, external event essays, broadcasts and training sessions. Hearings are both in-person and remote with programming simulcast to multiple destinations across a variety of platforms across the country and elsewhere in the corporate office..

“We have some Analog Way equipment in our rental section, so we have been in contact with their products a lot and we like to be aware of their new equipment”, says Lalani. “We needed a system to handle all the processing in the auditorium and provide a custom look to the screen. Analog Way Aquilon C checked all the boxes and stayed on budget. Important factors in our choice were the integration of Crestron from Analog Way plus its low latency and accurate color reproduction”.

The fact that the Aquilon C is Crestron certified played a key role in its selection, emphasizes. “The auditorium is reserved for so many meetings, sometimes two a day, You never know if there will be one operator for the room or ten different ones.. The system had to be scalable. He touch panel Crestron on the main operator desk manages Aquilon inputs through presets, with a iPad for audio control and PTZ camera controllers. It is a viable system for meetings of any size”.

The auditorium control room has a production switcher whose I/O feeds SDI matrix routers, which in turn create multiple views and feed a patch panel to the Aquilon C and its multiple presets.

“Aquilon is the final result, processes all images before sending them to the Led processor”, Coriesled Laal. “Manages the entire Led wall and offers custom appearance and unlimited size and placement possibilities on a large, seamless display”.

Aquilon's output cloning feature allows you to duplicate feeds for redundant display feeds and, at the same time, save processing resources. 4K auxiliary outputs used, as well as support for customizable I/O formats, to control a variety of screens and devices.

Minimum latency was also a critical issue as Aquilon delivered only one frame of latency from input to output.. “It was essential to offer a seamless experience for everyone in the room”, says Lalani. “The client has fully adopted the workflow of Zoom with seven computers creating mixes inside and outside the Aquilon to accommodate multiple speakers on the screen”.

All production spaces within the corporate headquarters are managed by an in-house audiovisual team. Analog Way provided on-site training for Aquilon to get all production staff up to speed with the new presentation workflow. “It only took a few hours to learn how to use the system and its options to customize the appearance and create designs on demand”, says Lalani.
