The Zarzuela theater in Madrid invests in the Dalis 860 Robert Juliat

CityLight Lighting has provided 32 Dalis cyclorama projectors 860 of Robert Juliat to this theater dedicated to Spanish poetry, acquired from Earpro&EES.

This central theater regained its historical beauty after the restoration of 1913, after a fire destroyed the original building inaugurated in 1856. Today property of the Ministry of Culture and declared 'Asset of General Interest with Monument category’ in 1994, It is the first and only one dedicated to Spanish poetry.

When choosing the new lightning for the cyclorama, The technical team of the Zarzuela theater carried out an exhaustive analysis of your needs, consulting with your own team of experts and visiting lighting designers before making a decision.

“Our investments are always a consensual decision based on the opinions of all those involved and the need to improve equipment provision and provide each lighting designer with a greater variety of resources”, says Antonio López, technical director of the Zarzuela theater.

El Dali 860 has met the requirements of the technical team: a bar one meter long and 300 W con 48 asymmetric reflectors that house an array of 8 colored led, including warm and cool white. The original is a well-designed cyclorama projector that offers powerful and smooth coverage, as well as a wide variety of pastel and saturated colors.

Shortly after receiving your new systems, the technical team installed them ready for a series of concerts. “We set up 9 Dalis projectors 860 flown on a lighting truss installed at 1,8 meters behind the cyclorama fabric and others 9 more on the ground at the same distance”, explains Antonio López. “We projected the lights onto a pearl gray PVC cyclorama, easily covering the surface of 12 meters wide by 8,5 meters high. The result was soft lighting with fabulous colors.”.

Since then, the dalis lights 860 They have been used in several productions, like opera Galla Placidia, the recital of Lied Cycle, a symphonic concert of Spanish music and, above all, the tribute to the soprano Victoria de los Ángeles.
