Renkus-Heinz and London West HollywoodHe London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills stands as a luxury landmark in the heart of one of the most emblematic neighborhoods of Los Angeles. Famous for its combination of classic British elegance and modern Californian style, offers a range of luxury services, from its acclaimed Boxwood restaurant to its exclusive rooftop pool. However, The jewel of this property is its West End Rooftop, a large outdoor space of 32×12 meters that serves as a privileged venue for corporate events.

Framed by a wall of glass offering panoramic ocean views from Long Beach to the Malibu Peninsula, The rooftop terrace is illuminated by spectacular sunsets and is a favorite of guests looking for a unique experience.

However, along with its picturesque charm and vibrant atmosphere, the sound of events frequently filtered outside the hotel, which created friction with nearby residents and led to repeated noise complaints. To solve these problems without compromising reputation, the hotel turned to Russ DuBrow of Electronic Technology for a transformative audio solution.

Renkus-Heinz and London West HollywoodThe association, focused on the installation of the altavoces IC Live X Series (ICLX) of Renkus-Heinz, resulted in an acoustic improvement that not only preserved the prestige of the site but also fostered harmony with the surrounding community.

“Guests come to The London expecting a premium experience, and that includes the sound quality”, explica DuBrow. “At the same time, we needed to respect the community by eliminating the spread of noise. Balancing these needs was our top priority”.

Renkus-Heinz and London West HollywoodThe main objective of the new system was to offer a premium audio experience concentrated within the confines of the rooftop. “I knew I could meet the hotel's goals with fewer speakers than with the previous installation, made more than ten years ago. Recent technology gave me the tools to create the experience the customer wanted and reduce the number of speakers from eight to four. This provided great sound quality and aesthetically complemented the space., at the same time it was profitable”.

The IC Live X series speakers from Renkus-Heinz, known for their precision and adaptability, were selected to meet the needs of the hotel. They have steerable technology allowing sound to be directed precisely, guaranteeing maximum coverage within the space designated for the event and avoiding sound dispersion.

Renkus-Heinz and London West HollywoodFour ICLX units have been installed along the wall at intervals of 7,6 metros, each one to 3,6 meters from the ground. The system was designed to provide a continuous audio zone, ensuring uniform sound distribution throughout the roof. As a complement to ICLX speakers, two have been installed subwoofers SA112, Delivering deep, punchy bass.

The entire system was configured with the Rhaon II platform the Renkus-Heinz, a powerful digital tool that allows precise equalization adjustments, delay and sound pressure (SPL). By digitally controlling the sound with the software OmniBeam of Renkus-Heinz and adapt it to the acoustic characteristics of the venue, the installation team created a system capable of providing clarity, power and control.

Renkus-Heinz and London West Hollywood“The IC Live X speakers allowed us to direct the sound exactly where we needed it: under the glass walls, concentrating it approximately in the center and completely avoiding areas where it was not desired”, DuBrow adds.. “This level of control was crucial to resolving noise complaints that had been a constant problem”.

“The difference is abysmal”, concludes DuBrow. “The system not only offers incredible sound for guests, but also prevents the hotel from having problems with neighbors and municipal authorities. The IC Live X Series gave us the tools to create something special, and the rooftop of the London Hotel is now a space that impresses guests and respects the community. “That is exactly what we set out to achieve.”.
