The Italian firm Claypaky was acquired by the German ARRI in 2022 and will now become part of I, Chinese developer of lighting systems for the entertainment industry.

As the new owner of the Italian brand, Raymond Chen, CEO of EK, adds that “the acquisition of Claypaky, along with its theatrical brand ADB, “It is a strategic investment that significantly enriches our portfolio.”.

More than a simple change of ownership, The acquisition highlights the commitment of the three parties to their main markets, along with a renewed interest in innovation, operational excellence, long-term adaptability and resilience.

Although the details of the integration are yet to be defined, Claypaky will maintain its headquarters and core competencies in R&D and operations in Italy. The transaction is expected to close in the coming months, subject to customary regulatory approvals.
