Nunsys Group digitally transforms the Jurassic Museum of Asturias
The museographic project carried out by the Spanish technology consultancy Nunsys Group includes the installation of Led screens and 3D CGI animation content, video projectors, touch surfaces and a centralized control system.
He Jurassic Museum of Asturias (MUJA) opened a few days ago the museographic project developed by Nunsys Group, which has updated part of the exhibition route with the deployment of new AV technologies and content production large format with 3D CGI animation.
With a investment of 347.270 euros, from European funds Next Generation gestionados por el Gobierno del Principado de Asturias through the Public Society for Tourism and Cultural Management and Promotion, Nunsys Group has modernized the exhibition experience both inside and outside the MUJA.
The opening ceremony of this technological renewal project included the participation of Gimena Llamedo, vp. of the Government of Asturias and acting president, y José Ángel Toyos, mayor of Colunga.
One of the biggest challenges that the Nunsys Group audiovisual area team has faced has been the reliable recreation of the Asturian landscape and fauna in the Jurassic era, ago more than 150 millions of years, to carry out the animation content, que superan los 12.000 resolution pixels.

“We have installed more than 35m2 of Led screens latest generation, with a development of almost 26 metros lineales that generate a surprising atmosphere within the museum”, says Calvo.
With this intervention, The museum adapts its content to advances in technological museography in Spain, combining innovation, accessibility and interactive scientific dissemination. “MUJA is already an international reference in geological heritage, and now we take another step to turn it into a 21st century museum, that innovates to excite, teach and connect with the public”, Vice President Llamedo has highlighted.
