INFiLED transforms a former barracks into an e-sports center

Located in Murcia, this old artillery barracks has been transformed, thanks to the installation of some seven hundred DB series cabinets, DBmk2 and AR INFiLED, in a space designed for electronic sports, content creation and digital production.

The conversion of the artillery barracks from the beginning of the 20th century by the Murcia City Council, backed by the EU, It has been made with the visualization technology of INFiLED, in partnership with systems integrator Dominion and mounting solutions provider B-Tech.

This public space provides advanced technological infrastructure to the local community, especially the audiovisual industry and the gaming sector, with an e-sports room, recording and photography studios, editing, simulation and 3D printing.

The transformation of this space, declared historical heritage, in it Murcia Audiovisual Hub has entailed challenges not only in terms of compliance with the strict conservation regulations, which do not allow direct mounting to the building structure, but of space limitations.

To respond to both the different needs of each space and the architectural compliances, INFiLED has installed around seven hundred Led cabinets from its DB series, DBmk2 y AR.

The photography studio has a large pared Led curva, of 12×4 metros, from the DBmk2 series of this manufacturer, with a pixel pitch 1,9 mm and resolution of 6.144×2.048p.

The 60° bend of this Led wall facilitates immersive and immersive images, while respecting the strict heritage requirements of the barracks. Los AR Series Led Ceiling Panels, of 6×3 metros, con pixel pitch 3,9 mm and 1,536x768p resolution, bring dynamic lighting and visual effects to this space.

In addition to fixed installation, INFiLED has also provided a portable display kit, composed of 96 cabinets, a processor NovaStar, a system of stacking and custom flight cases for easy transportation and storage, as well as training staff on how to configure the system.

He esports space has been equipped with a DB series display, of 18×4 metros, with a 288” cabinet and a distance between pixels of 2,6 mm.
