SoundTube improves the immersive experience at the San Juan hospital museum

The audiovisual installation that has been implemented for the project of this museum in Bruges is made up of the IPD-SM500i-II-BK speakers 5.25 and the STNet-Switch-II system of SoundTube; in addition to having interactive touch panels Displax Tiles and high resolution screens Leyard Led Wall.

The experience Closer to Memling of the St. John's Hospital Museum in Bruges (Belgium) is an innovative digital and interactive installation that immerses visitors in the world of Hans Memling, a renowned Flemish painter of the 15th century.

Ocular, the integrator and creative force behind this project, has collaborated with TAU Audio Solutions, distributor of SoundTube Entertainment in the Netherlands, to integrate high-quality audio solutions that enhance the visitor experience.

Using IP-enabled SoundTube speakers and switchers, Ocular created an atmospheric soundscape inspired by the polyphonic music of Hans Memling's time.

The main objective of the experience Closer to Memling was to offer a sound that complemented and enhanced the audiovisual journey through time. The audio had to be integrated into the museum's monumental attic space, while providing optimal sound quality to transport visitors to the world of Memling. The system had to be reliable and discreet, ensuring that the hardware did not detract from the historic ambience of the space.

Ocular selected two key products from SoundTube Entertainment, brand that distributes in Spain AVIT Vision, for this project: IPD-SM500i-II-BK 5.25, selected for its sound performance and ability to deliver high-quality audio without drawing attention to itself; y STNet-Switch-II, used for efficient network audio distribution throughout the facility.

Integrating modern technology into a century-old penthouse posed unique challenges. Hardware needed to be installed discreetly to preserve the architectural integrity of the space. SoundTube's compact and versatile designs made it possible to achieve this goal without compromising audio quality or performance..
