A total of twenty-six Paragon LT moving heads from Elation Lighting They are part of the lighting repertoire of this American musical center, that provide greater versatility to your productions.

Under the direction of Justin Parties, lighting director War Memorial Opera House, the San Francisco Opera (SFO) has integrated twenty-six Elation Paragon LT as fixed luminaires in all their seasonal productions, which include Rigoletto, Dead man walking, Parsifal and the show The Monkey King, which will be released next 14 November.

SFO Elation Cory WeaveAfter seven years as SFO lighting director, Partier faced the challenge of modernize the old inventory of discharge lights 1.200 W, with twenty-five years of operation. The list of requirements for this renewal included: brightness on par with existing HMI lights in the enclosure, optimal reproduction and consistency, advanced color mixing, precise framing shutters, soft anti-aliasing option and a gobo pack.

After a comparison with several brands, team selected Elation Paragon LT moving head. “As soon as we saw them, we knew right away which luminaire we liked. Paragon is Elation's new flagship line of profile Led moving heads (S, M, LT) with variable CRI technology, interchangeable lenses and an advanced set of design tools. The LT model offers as an option the system SpectraColor CMY + RGB + CTO company variable, providing an expanded color range.

“The CMY color mix + RGB is interesting -says Partier-. “The color and color reproduction of Paragon LT were key aspects we focused on during the comparison with other systems”.

Acquired a few months ago by SFO, Paragon LT units are located on various power lines, with two on the main stage balcony railing and two in auxiliary side positions. During the re-release of Rigoletto, Partier used them for overhead lighting, rear and side, complemented by a selection of special lights. ““They contributed greatly to creating a visual mood and were excellent for lighting the background.”.

Designed for multifunctional applications, Paragon LT allows you to exchange your profile lens for a Fresnel Wash or PC Beam, although SFO mainly uses the first.
