En Integrated Systems Europe (WHEREAS) 2026, Plenary presented an ambitious vision: Bring intelligence directly to meeting rooms through a comprehensive hardware and software ecosystem that can self-configure and operate without technical complexity. Gustavo Garcia, Product Specialist en Pleneo/Xilica, outlines the keys to this new proposal.

Pleneo's main technological proposal (the new proposal promoted by Xilica after more than two decades of experience in the audiovisual sector) es Room OS, a platform designed to eliminate traditional barriers in the implementation of audiovisual systems in collaborative spaces. The challenge that Pleneo addresses is well known in the sector: the complexity of integrating multiple devices (microphones, speakers, PTZ cameras and control systems) in medium and large rooms. Faced with this scenario, García sums it up directly: “Not all devices on the market help us deploy a system easily and quickly in medium and large rooms”.

Room OS acts as an intelligent core that automates critical processes: from network device discovery to audio routing and acoustic optimization. The goal is clear: Drastically reduce installation times and minimize the need for specialized knowledge.

A scalable and open ecosystem

Pleneo ISE 2026Beyond software, Pleneo has presented a complete ecosystem of hardware solutions that accompanies this philosophy. Among them are the cameras RoomVision, PoE speakers RoomDesign, to the range Pleneo Pro for large spaces and new amplifiers designed for more demanding environments. This modular approach allows you to scale from standard meeting rooms to auditoriums, maintaining operational coherence. Besides, the system is not closed: supports integration with third-party devices, a key aspect for integrators and end customers.

“If you prefer to use an amplifier or third-party cameras, "They can do it with our system", García emphasizes regarding flexibility as one of the pillars of the proposal.

RoomHub: the brain of each room

Pleneo ISE 2026One of the most relevant launches at ISE 2026 was is RoomHub, the first device to incorporate Room OS. This acts as the nerve center of the room, in charge of detect, manage and connect all devices audiovisual. The approach radically simplifies operations: a single device per room, to which the video conferencing system is connected (either a PC, laptop o Microsoft Teams Room), and from which you access the entire audio and video ecosystem.

Configuration is done through a guided web interface, eliminating the need for advanced programming. But the real leap is in the remote management: through the Pleneo cloud, Integrators can prepare all configuration before arriving on site.

García points out that “when you connect the RoomHub and it has access to the internet, it will download all the settings and it will do it automatically, without having to take out a laptop on site”.

Pleneo ISE 2026The capa cloud not only makes initial setup easier, but introduces advanced monitoring and analysis capabilities. From device use to fault detection, The system allows you to anticipate incidents and improve after-sales support. Besides, the data generated can be integrated with third-party platforms, which expands the possibilities in corporate environments where centralized monitoring systems already exist.

Definitely, Pleneo's proposal at ISE 2026 points to a clear trend in the professional audiovisual sector: the transition towards autonomous spaces, capable of self-management without constant technical intervention. By removing template dependency, closed kits or complex programming, Room OS redefines the way they are designed, implement and maintain collaboration rooms.

In short, Pleneo's commitment is to transform the experience for both integrators and end users, approaching an increasingly demanded objective: let technology just work.
