Fairlight has announced the launch of Quantum, the latest addition to their range of audio post-production products. Quantum is a complete audio post-production system that combines the power of Fairlight hardware and software, recording, editing and mixing plug-ins, MIDI and video with a console 12 o 24 Fully integrated faders suitable for film studios, video and music and for post-production facilities.

Quantum offers pure control through fast, ergonomic operation of its touch control surface with potentiometers, switches, buttons and runner wheel, augmented with touch screen and mouse based functions. Motorized Quantum faders combine with a double row of rotary encoders to provide touch-activated automation of all mix parameters. Within walking distance, System touch screens complement physical controls with multiple switching and project navigation options.

Quantum includes a built-in editing controller that uses Fairlight image keys. These instantly adapt their appearance and functionality for easy navigation with fewer keystrokes. The control surface, literally, reinvents itself in every task undertaken, presenting the commands that are needed at the right time. Fairlight's new iCan technology, with drag and drop layout editor, allows audio engineers to design their own layout buttons for specialized functions.
