Quantum112: Digico's lightest console that maintains the Quantum DNA
The new Quantum112 console joins the family of consoles Digico as the most compact to date, offering all the processing power and features of the Quantum range in a light and transportable format.
For more than five years, The Quantum range has established itself as the reference for sound engineers on international tours, rental companies and large facilities. While the Quantum852 takes the flagship position as a large format console, Digico now expands the possibilities with the Quantum112, a model of 12 faders and single screen, designed as the brand's first flypack table.
Weighing only 23 kilos inside your Pelican Air suitcase 1637, the Quantum112 becomes the first Digico console conceived specifically as a flypack, which allows it to be checked in on most airlines as standard baggage. This drastic reduction in size and weight marks a leap compared to its predecessor, the SD11, and makes the new table an ideal solution for international productions or montages where space and logistics are a constant challenge..
Technical features in a reduced format
Despite its small format, La Quantum112 offered 80 input channels, 24 auxiliary buses that of subgroups, LR/LCR master buses and a 12x8 matrix, all with full processing per channel. This adds up 12 control groups, two alone, 12 Graphic EQ and eight effects slots, ensuring the flexibility needed for complex mixing environments.
The interface combines a multi-touch screen 17 inches y 1000 brightness nits, with integrated meters and quick access, next to 12 motorized faders 100 mm touch sensitive, selected for their precision and smoothness. Besides, incorporates 18 Individual TFT screens that provide clear and dynamic information on each channel.
Regarding processing, The Quantum112 integrates the most advanced tools in the range: Mustard Processing con 20 channel strips, he Spice Rack with six FPGA plugin modules y Nodal Processing a 24 canales, functions that until now were reserved for larger format consoles. Besides, incorporates Stadius converters 32 bits at the premises, dual DMI slot and multiple connectivity options, including Dante 64x64 at 48/96kHz, 4xMADI, AES, local connections and optional fiber optic support.
Austin Freshwater, CEO of Digico, points out that “The Quantum112 is a brilliant illustration of the phrase the best essences come in small bottles. We wanted a Quantum console to replace the SD11 and our team not only achieved it, but created a model that is both rackable, light and perfect for traveling”.
In the same line, Michael Aitchison, company R&D manager, points out that “The SD11 was heavy 24 kg without packaging and more than 70 kg and flight case, so it was never a truly flypack product. The new Quantum112 is almost a 70% lighter, much more robust and with superior performance. We are proud of the result and we are sure that users will appreciate it”.
