Fifty interactive touch panels from the company IB-Tech will now be the tourist and multilingual digital attraction in the municipality of Marbella.

Marbella town hall will install a total of fifty interactive touch panels (there are already three active) in the coming weeks of the Malaga company IB-Tech, winner of the tender, that will be distributed throughout the municipality.

The tourist digital signage project is a pioneer in Spain, according to the words of the mayor of Marbella, Angeles Muñoz, “whose objective is that anyone who visits us can have access to all the information and all the activity that is generated in Marbella”, as well as one more step towards the transformation of Marbella as a smart city.

Among the information offered on these panels there are maps, information on the city's hotel infrastructure, restaurants, shops, hospitals; telephone numbers of interest, as well as the entire leisure and cultural offer.

For now, The information available is offered in Spanish and English, but soon it will be enriched with more languages, like french, German and Russian.

For Carlo Caporaletti, CEO of IB-Tech, whose headquarters are in the Malaga town of Antequera, “With this initiative Marbella is positioned as a digital and intelligent city, with a unique tourist technological project in Spain”.

At the moment three interactive panels have been installed, managed by the urban furniture company Grupo GMG through its subsidiary Imagen Andalucía, and in the coming weeks the 47 remaining for the project to be fully operational before the summer.
