AFS2 DSP Module Takes Advanced dBx Feedback Suppression Technology to a New Level (AFS), as it provides faster and tighter filter groups, in both fixed and dynamic modes. While ten and twelve filter feedback elimination processors are common today, AFS2's dedicated processor offers up to twenty-four programmable filters per channel, with quality factors of up to 1/80 octave.

This level of extreme precision, previously available only on the highest-end processors, allows AFS2 to eliminate the exact frequencies necessary to attenuate feedback. Besides, offers application-specific filter types including speech, low music, medium and high.

AFS2 also incorporates selectable fixed and dynamic filtering modes (for installations), Selectable filter release times, Instant filter release and other functionalities, all available through the user interface that is managed from the front panel. Can be used in stereo or dual mode (two independent channels) and has XLR and TRS inputs and outputs, as well as a USB input for firmware updates when available.

As Jason Kunz says, market manager, portable PA and recording & broadcast en Harman Signal Processing, “Eliminating feedback can be one of the most difficult and tedious challenges to face when tuning a PA system.”, especially for groups and performers who have to bring their own equipment and who are more musicians than sound technicians. AFS2 is easy to use, while powerful and flexible enough to integrate into large-scale live sound systems and elaborate fixed installations”.
