For the celebration of the EDC Orlando festival 2015 A large metal structure that simulated an aviation hangar was installed on the Circuit Grounds stage.. The beginnings of the Electric Daisy Carnival electronic music festival, organized by the promoter Insomniac Events, They go back to the year 1997 in the city of Los Angeles (California) and its popularity has been growing year after year. Currently, different EDC festivals are held throughout the year in cities like Las Vegas., Orlando and New York, and also in other cities such as Milton Keynes in England, São Paulo, Mexico City and Tokyo.

The edition held in Orlando (EDC Orlando 2015) took place on 6 y 7 November at the Tinker Field baseball stadium in the city of Orlando (Florida) and has had the participation of well-known artists such as Calvin Harris, Eric Prydz, Tiesto o Kaskade.

This show has established itself as a reference in the Electric Daisy Carnival event calendar and lighting designer Steve Lieberman has been responsible for lighting at EDC Orlando since its first edition in 2011.

For the Circuit Grounds stage, a large metal structure was installed that simulated an aviation hangar and its lighting design., a cargo de Steve Lieberman, has included various equipment Elation Professional, brand that distributes Visualsvisuals, which have been provided by the company AG Production Services.

In this scenario they used 43 Platinum Spot type moving head units 35 Pro since, as Steve Lieberman comments, “it is very bright and its optical design is very good.”. It is a fast moving head with a great color mix. Its zoom range is wide and the strobe function works very well. All of these qualities are important for events like this., where the changes and the variety of visual effects we seek are constant”.

At Platinum Spot 35 Pro by Elation Professional incorporates the Platinum lamp 35 the Philips (of 800 watts of power and 55.000 lumens) and offers zoom with a range of 8° to 50° aperture, CMY color mix, 12 gobos and 160° animation effect.

To highlight the geometric shapes of the truss structure installed on the stage, Steve Lieberman's lighting design has made use of 72 Led bar units 176 centimeters in length Color Chorus 72. “They are very bright LED bars and when we wanted to really highlight the truss design on stage during performances, they provided the necessary power to do so”, explica Lieberman.

Elation Colour Chorus 72 has 288 LED 3 watts of power (for a total of 864 watts) in a length of 176 centimeters, con 72 Led of each of the red colors, verde, blue and amber and individual control over hue, saturation and intensity of each of the LEDs. The range of Led Color Chorus bars also includes other models with lengths of 118, 60 y 30 centimeters.

For blinder and strobe effects they were used on the Circuit Grounds stage. 38 Cuepix Blinder WW2 units, that incorporates 2 COB LED 100 watts of power each, with a color temperature of 3,200° Kelvin.

The truss structure suspended along the hangar where the Circuit Grounds was located was illuminated with 150x units of the Opti TRI Led Par 30, that provides 7 Led RGB de 3 watts, for a total of 21 watts of power per unit, in a compact and light device, and thanks to its small dimensions it can be installed inside truss sections.

The next dates on the Electric Daisy Carnival electronic music festival calendar will take place in Mexico Distrito Federal in February, New York in May and the main event in Las Vegas next June 2016.
