Daktronics integrates Led lighting into its live show control system
The manufacturer has integrated solid-state LED lighting into its own show control system to improve the gaming experience at sporting and other events as an element that complements the content that runs on a facility's video screens..
The show control system Daktronics now has the ability to send and receive solid-state LED light beams to create a differential experience combined with the content displayed on the display screens or video scoreboards of a sports facility.
Daktronics has presented this development live at the Globe Life Park baseball stadium (an Arlington – Texas), home of the Texas Rangers of the American League and also home to the museum dedicated to the legends of this sport.
Para Jay Parker, VP of Live Events at Daktroricks, “This capability we have added is the beginning of a trend that will improve sporting events. Incorporating general lighting into production before the game begins increases the fan experience and opens up a wide variety of possibilities for sponsors, matching lighting elements with video display content at key moments in the game, with color baths that match a certain brand, etc”.
To achieve this integration, The company has worked with sports lighting specialists to establish two-way communication between select DMX-based lighting servers and its show control system..
