A spectacular curved video wall 30 square meters transforms the façade of a Reading shopping center
BrightSign players drive the contents of the large LED screen of 6 by 5 meters that surrounds the tower of the building and houses the King's Walk center. This display offers a resolution of 640×896 with a pixel pitch size of 6 mm.
Atlantis Group, new owners of the King's Walk shopping center located in the town of Reading (Berkshire County – England) I wanted to create a digital support that would have a strong impact on passers-by, that encouraged them to discover the changes that had been made in the establishment.
The realization of the project was entrusted to the company Project Audio Visual. “The King's Walk is a very particular building and its round tower that heads its entrance is a very attractive feature. We knew that by wrapping a curved video screen around it, We would create a very spectacular solution that would make a great impression”, explica Steve Hudson, Sales Director of Project Audio Visual.
The challenge they faced was to create a display that would fit perfectly around the column at the front of the store., giving it a transparent finish.
“The objective was that it could capture the attention of the passer-by and that the contents would be displayed in a personalized way through animated visual presentations.. This technique is much more attractive and effective than traditional signage.. The benefits of a curved LED video wall are endless, since it makes advertising and brand messages more accessible within a public space”, continua Hudson.
For this installation Project Audio Visual has used a curved Led Linso video wall, which measures around 6 meters high for almost 5 wide. This video display offers a resolution of 640×896 with a pixel pitch size of 6 mm.
For content delivery, Project Audio Visual opted for media players BrightSign given its high quality HD video and allow a perfect fit with the target screen. BrightSign players can be controlled remotely, allowing the administrator to schedule and change content remotely. In addition, It is also possible to show it in 3D, making it an ideal solution for a shopping center.
