The Volumens Day Festival is held again to offer a visual and sensory experience
After a few years postponed, The International Audiovisual Exploration Festival will celebrate the 20 January 2018 its second edition in Valencia.
The Carmen Center of Contemporary Culture (Center del Carme Contemporary Culture) of Valencia will host, the next 20 January 2018, a new edition of Festival Volume Day, which will have the collaboration of the museum consortium of this community, to offer a varied programming, installations and workshops around sensory and visual experiences and shows with the works of national and international artists.
Specifically, The second edition of the festival will have three different spaces: Garden Space (Renaissance Cloister); Sound Room (Gothic Cloister) y AV Room (Goerlich room) in which the music shows will take place, inter alia, by Sergio Díaz and Pablo Arquiola, in the first case, and with Manu Cachero and his 'JackWasFaster', as well as Miss_tra, in the area dedicated to sound production and mixing
The video-art, multimedia technology and sound performance star in the AV Room space, in which the projects carried out by students of the Master of Visual Arts and Multimedia will be shown; to which is added the show 'Those who scream', audiovisual artist Daniel Balboa, that uses everyday objects to play video and audio samples, mixed with different bending elements to create modulations combined with images, etc.
Sound design and interaction with music in virtual environments will be the proposal of the artist Diego Navarro; while Misael Sámano-Vargas and Miguel A. Sislian Suez will create a multimedia combination of video and sound art in 'Opus Silere'.
One of the protagonists of AV Room will be the proposal of the multidisciplinary artist Julien Bayle with 'Alpha', a live show that fuses sound and images in an immersive environment. In this work, The visual system analyzes the sound in real time and dynamically generates the elements and structures displayed on the screen during performance, no pre-recorded footage, 3D rendering only.
The objective of Festival Volumes Day 2018 is to transform the spaces where shows take place and “elevate audiovisual exploration and research to the category of art.”, but without forgetting the playful and didactic sense”, they point out from the organization.
