LG and its visual jewel: an 88” 8K OLED screen and 33 million pixels
The manufacturer breaks records again with this technology, both in resolution (7.680 x 4.320p) as in panel size, with this shocking development that can be seen in a few days at CES 2018, in las vegas.
With a resolution that quadruples that of UHD models – 4K, the korean LG has taken a step in its commitment to OLED technology with the presentation of an 8K screen, what it means to have 33 million pixels (7.680 x 4.320p), in a no less surprising size of 88 inches, which places this development at the global forefront in both characteristics.
This new screen far surpasses what was another manufacturer's record with this technology: a transparent and flexible 77” model, which was presented a little over a year ago and which is now evolving with this new visual 'jewel' in 8K (and this was shown in the image that appeared on the screen), that can be seen from the next 9 from January to CES 2018, in las vegas.
This announcement once again materializes the Korean company's strategic commitment to OLED, to the point of being the only one in the world that produces large panels with this technology, leaving distance with Japanese manufacturers, like Sony and Panasonic, and its main competitor Samsung with QLED visual proposal. Another proof of this is LG's investment in the new OLED panel production plant., mainly for mobile, in the Chinese city of Guangzhou, the first that will not be in South Korea.
