Kramer Electronics promotes the creation of a valuable AV/IT channel for its growth in Iberia
Two or three wholesalers and partners committed and certified in their collaboration solutions, ProAV, switching and signal and control management are Kramer's references to lead these business areas in Spain and Portugal.
Collaboration, not only in terms of product, with the new VIA Connect Plus as a reference, but with a defined and restructured channel strategy for Spain and Portugal are the main messages that Pedro Ballesteros, director of Spain and Portugal Kramer Electronics, has detailed to several specialized media.
In the first case, The Israeli manufacturer has developed Connect Plus, a secure wireless collaboration solution (with user authenticity, encryption 1.024 bit and room code, with iOS and Android support) that it has incorporated into its ProAV solutions proposal and that is part of the well-known VIA product range, which was officially presented at the beginning of the year in WHEREAS 2018 (more data in Digital AV).
One of the advantages of VIA Connect Plus is the sending and playback of videos at 1,080p-60Hz, "uncut, latency and loss quickly, something very important when making presentations, to which is added the possibility of converting the screen into a digital whiteboard, even with touch capabilities”, José Hervella emphasizes, Kramer sales director.
Regarding collaboration functions - depending on the version of Connect Plus used, both in hardware device and in software licenses, It has icons that can be managed by the administrator, like those mentioned above, along with editing documents in real time, share/send files, chats, meeting recording, etc. between participants connected with your device, and integration with applications such as Skype or WebEx for remote meetings.
AV/IT Convergence
One of the bets of the Iberian subsidiary is the restructuring of the channel in this market, started last year and has been recently promoted with roadshows in Spain and Portugal (more details in this diary), with the objective of “achieving more capillarity and having committed partners, interested in investing and devoting time to becoming certified in the solutions and business areas that interest them most, and to whom we offer advantageous training conditions, offer, marketing, etc.”, explains Ballesteros (in the attached image).
Specifically, The company will soon make public who its wholesalers will be.: “two or three in Spain and another two in Portugal, with about fifty certified and valuable partners, both AV and IT channel, since they are in a process of convergence, to have coverage throughout the Peninsula and open new opportunities in different verticals”.
Proof of this is the technological alliance made at the end of last year with Epson in the projection area (more data in Digital AV), with solutions for business and education, which includes the VIA Go wireless presentation tool in this manufacturer's projectors and offers a wireless BYOD environment.
The objective set by the corporation for the Spanish subsidiary is no less ambitious “to lead by the end of 2020 the market in the company's four key business areas: ProAV, collaboration, commutation, AV connectivity and management and control solutions”, Ballesteros emphasizes.
