Live screening of the opera 'Manon Lescaut’ from the Liceo in Barcelona to the Plaza Mayor in Madrid

Within the framework of the celebrations of the IV Centenary of the Plaza Mayor of Madrid, the specialist Power AV has carried out a live projection of this opera by Puccini with Panasonic laser equipment.

The Plaza Mayor of Madrid has been the setting for the live broadcast, last weekend, from the opera Manon Lescaut, de Puccini, on the occasion of the celebrations of the IV Centenary of the construction of this emblematic space, which since last year has aimed to convert this urban environment into a privileged setting to host cultural events.

In a new collaboration with Madrid Destination, the specialist in audiovisual services Power OFF has carried out a live screening of this opera since Great Theater of the Liceo from Barcelona, which has launched the initiative to bring culture and, especially this musical genre to all of Spain.

For this live screening from the Lyceum, Power AV has used two high-brightness laser machines from Panasonic, specifically the PT-RZ31K model, each one with 30.000 lumens to project on the big screen during the broadcast of this lyrical drama in four acts. The company has also been in charge of the structures and lighting of the buildings.

The action of Manon Lescaut It is situated in the context of immigration at the beginning of the 20th century., with the memory of New York's Ellis Island as a background, which featured the American tenor Gregory Kunde in the role of Des Grieux, and with the Ukrainian soprano Ludmyla Monastyrska for the title role, with the famous aria Sola, lost, abandoned of the fourth act.
