Toledo will immerse its citizens in the magic of dreams this Christmas
For the second year in a row, The Toledo City Council will project a videomapping show on the Puerta de Bisagra, produced by Acciona Productions and Design, which will be combined with music and special effects with snow to start the Christmas holidays.
Acciona Productions and Design (APD) returns to accompany Toledo City Council to celebrate Christmas with a mapping show that will be combined with 3D projections, music and special effects with snow.
The days 21 y 22 December the multimedia show 'Toledo has a star' will be projected on the Puerta de Bisagra, Cristi and the dream machine', an initiative, that repeats itself, but with a different theme, and which is part of the City Council's Christmas program. The show can be seen in three daily screenings at seven, at eight and nine at night.
This is the second consecutive year in which Toledo opens Christmas with a large-scale audiovisual show produced by APD. Last year thousands of Toledo residents and tourists saw 'The Magic Toy Store'. (See more information at Digital AV Magazine)
The assembly will use the mapping technique, combining large-scale projections with 3D effects, music (which has been composed specifically for this show), and special effects, like snow, that will increase the feeling of immersion for viewers.
The show, designed and produced by Acciona Producciones y Diseño, will focus on accessibility and sustainability. So, It will have areas specially reserved for people with physical and sensory disabilities..
The immersive audiovisual projection will narrate Cristi's dreams, a little girl who will 'live' scenes typical of the places she will visit when she grows up or the experiences she will live. So, with each of these dreams, the Puerta de la Bisagra will become different scenarios: a building under construction, the door of a zoo through which a large elephant appears, or in a police station from where Cristi leaves with his police car, or even on the trampoline of a ski competition, or a Christmas market…
The show will end with a very Christmassy wink, by making the three Wise Men the protagonists of a walk through the streets of Toledo led by Cristi.
For the projection, four projectors will be used. 22.000 lumens each and 32.000 watts of sound power distributed across six towers, that will create a three-dimensional and enveloping sensation.
