Allen & Heath offers new features for SQ digital mixers

The new firmware update offers optimal features that will be well received by monitor engineers who use the SQ console or FoH engineers who work with it.

Among the improvements that Alen & Heath, brand that distributes Audio-Technica Iberia, included is a listening bus, which allows directing PAFL to an IEM system, nearfield stereo monitors or mono wedge monitor; switching the master fader to ‘Listen Level’ to control the monitor level; external entrance to PAFL, ideal for communication systems between FoH and monitors.

In addition, Support for SLink cards and Waves cards has also been included, expanding options for FoH/monitor splits; extensive user permission assignment possibilities, that allow the creation of up to 10 custom profiles; update of Soft Rotary controls on SQ-6 and SQ-7, offering more custom control possibilities; and improvements to USB recording and network control.

Tie Lines offer another useful feature for performing splits, as they allow you to connect inputs to outputs without going through SQ processing. Besides, the new version (1.3.2) SQ-MixPad app adds complete wireless control over the Deep compressor and GEQ plug-ins, and works with any SQ mixer running version V1.3.0 or later.
