Philips Professional Display recognized for digital installation at the National Bank of Belgium Museum

The digital signage project carried out at the Museum of the National Bank of Belgium, in collaboration with Ocular, has placed this institution and its rich heritage in the digital age with AV systems from this manufacturer.

In partnership with the integrator Ocular, the multinational Philips Professional Display Solutions carried out an innovative digital signage project to “bring into the future” and improve the visitor experience in the Museum of the National Bank of Belgium, located in Brussels, with an approach that sympathizes with the historical environment in a visual way, and which has been recognized as the best commercial installation of the year.

To achieve, Five large format digital screens have been installed - model U-line BDL9870EU, with a size of 98”-, Philips Professional Display hanging two meters above the ground, between the pillars of the building, to offer visitors a spectacular experience, with surprising exhibits that captivate and attract a new generation of audiences.

These screens work in complete harmony with the twenty Philips T-Line 10BDL3051T touch screens, of 10 inches, and with Ocular's personalized audio guide system to interact with the contents and exhibitions in the largest ones.

Cutting-edge interactive technology

Updates are done with Ocular's custom CMS, that are sent and displayed either on a single screen or on multiple screens throughout the museum, which adapts to Belgium's unique language combination and is displayed in all three of the country.

In this unique installation, that has exceeded the design requirements of the end client, visitors can connect with the exhibits, as well as each other through a collaborative guide.

Thanks to this cutting-edge interactive technology, The Museum of the National Bank of Belgium has become a future facility that has managed to connect the public and significantly increase visits.
