Samsung KX is a space, located in the Coal Drops Yard business district (King’s Cross – London), where culture and innovation merge. A new showcase that redefines the future of retail and has been designed to offer visitors the ultimate immersive brand experience, where they can discover, get inspired and learn through events, workshops and performances.

With his 1.800 square meters is open seven days a week and invites visitors to stroll and enjoy a space full of air and light.

The site is divided into different zones to offer a mix of live events, workshops, cutting-edge technology performances and experiences, including a connected kitchen, living area, sound room, flexible workspace, Samsung customization zone and a cafe.

The key to the Samsung KX space is to have the entire brand portfolio under one roof and showcase all the capabilities of connected living to help make life easier.

The integrator Snelling Business Systems has been in charge of providing the technology for this space, who worked with the consultants at Intelligent Building Cheers Lea throughout the project, which has lasted just over a year, to deliver AV and IT infrastructure in line with Samsung KX vision.

A creative and digital playground has been created at the center of the Samsung KX to engage and inspire, but also to show the latest technological innovation. In addition, The 'Screenmax' concept has been implemented, a gigantic curved Led videowall that is presented as the first implementation of this size of Samsung Led worldwide.

The technology chosen to offer the vision of the Samsung KX is a 10.08 vertical concave curved LED screen.×4,32 Korean brand meters, that weighs 975 kilos and consists of 168 cabinets and a total of 1.008 Led modules.

This large format display required a custom mounting system that would provide the structural and precision engineering capabilities necessary to support the cantilever weight of the display and ensure a safe and visually pleasing result.. For this project, we chose Peerless AV to develop a large custom Led mounting structure.

As part of the agreement, a complete Seamless by Peerless-AV design consultancy offer was provided from start to finish. This encompassed full CAD drawings and structural integrity reports, FEA stress testing reports, load and deflection, and on-site support from Peerless-AV's team of Led experts.

La pared Led ‘Screenmax’ Samsung KX has 21 IFH015 Led panels×8, configured in a vertical concave design, with a pixel pitch of 1,5 pixels. A solution that has a compact and lightweight design and offers high image quality, uniform shine and intuitive use.

Together with the Peerless-AV Led mounting system, Cabinets can be accessed from the front or rear for component service and maintenance. Cable management is integrated into the mounting frame, which sits on a custom steel structure surrounding a complex cooling system. Each cross section of the arch has a built-in height and depth adjustment to eliminate any irregularities in the steel structure and create a consistent base on which to mount the cabinets..

Peerless-AV's custom mounting system was not only quick and easy to install, but its modularity made it easy to transport to the location and avoid any damage.

Precision engineered with display-specific mounting patterns and adapters, The mounting system has an aluminum frame which helped minimize wall loading. Predetermined adapter rail locations helped speed up assembly, while tight tolerances and spacers ensured the Led cabinets were positioned correctly. Adjustment on the X axes, Y and Z helped correct any wall imperfections, aligned the pixels and smoothed out any installation irregularities.
