Conmy Hall, a historic event space used by the United States Government, has recently undergone a profound digital transformation, consisting of the installation of a gigantic video wall (of 44×4 metros) Christie CorePlus Led.

Integrated and installed by Quince Imaging, under the direction of The Bridge Group, the video wall is powered by a Spyder X80 image processor and the Pandoras Box suite of solutions to manage content, both from this manufacturer.

“Conmy Hall was built in 1934 as an equestrian facility for use by General George Patton - explains Cathy Arevian, CEO and Executive Director of The Bridge Group-. Over time, The cavalry corps was eliminated and the enclosure was first converted into a gymnasium and, later, in interior space for ceremonies. Today it is the main representation center of the US Army. and is used for presidential functions and military ceremonies, but also for meetings and meetings of government agencies and strategy sessions”.

With capacity for 1.200 people sitting, Conmy Hall also hosts military band concerts and productions from the Military District of Washington, events that are open to the public. Prior to its restoration, The space had two screens for projections and large vinyls with printed maps for agency meetings and strategy sessions..

“New needs and technological advances left equipment and processes obsolete.”. The celebration of several events with large-format rental equipment and projections made it evident that the versatility offered by these solutions justified the investment required for their permanent installation.”, Arevian assures.

Various technologies and configurations were considered for the project.. “We knew that the solutions had to be state-of-the-art and configurable to adapt to the diverse and changing demands of the space”, subraya Scott Williams, operations manager, CFO and co-founder of Quince Imaging.

The Bridge Group, Quince Imaging and the project manager VCB Events designed and installed a huge Christie CorePlus Led video wall, with twelve million pixels, which is divided into three sections: a central matrix of 8 meters and one on each side of 18 metros. The first one works, in turn, as a retractable entrance that, suspended on a moving element, removes with the push of a button.

Management of twelve million pixels

Two servers and a Christie Pandoras Box manager manage the CorePlus Led video wall. As Williams explains, “Pandoras Box manages the huge video wall, with its twelve million pixels, as well as the buttons, and contains the wireframes y templates that allow the user to choose one of the twelve display type possibilities..

To configure these solutions, Pandoras Box Widget Designer is used., “with which we already have a long history of success. All the sports facilities that we have built since the year 2013 have had a Pandoras Box system. It is very easy to use and the user has no difficulty understanding the workflow.. It has proven to be a very solid broadcast solution. How are we going to decide on another solution when it has worked so effectively in all of our facilities?”

“El resultado es magnífico: a versatile and fully configurable LED display that offers an immersive experience and works as an extraordinary backdrop for military ceremonies -Arevian emphasizes-. The client is impressed with the clarity and sharpness of the images and the ability to have a large number of templates standard, pre-programmed and ready to broadcast instantly”.

As Williams states, “The client is delighted with the installation carried out.”. As a consequence, We are already part of the service and assistance team. “They are very happy”.

For your part, Jon Litt, Senior Director of Government Solutions at Christie, adds that “Quince Imaging and The Bridge Group have designed and installed an incredible solution that will serve Conmy Hall and the US Army. for many years. “We feel proud and honored to have incorporated our solutions into such a historic place and to have them used in such important events.”.
