The automated access solutions company Assa Abloy Entrance Systems and the Korean multinational Lg have reached a collaboration agreement to develop an innovative proposal that incorporates OLED and SuperSign display technology into automatic doors to offer a new channel of visual communication.

As Mikael Carleson explains, president of pedestrian solutions for Assa Abloy, it is an innovative and unique solution that "will not only facilitate access comfortably, contactless and automated, but will bring new opportunities for high-end retailers, commercial buildings and businesses so they can place advertising, messages and greetings to customers, visitors and employees entering a building or space".

Assa Abloy's new automated glass doors incorporate digital signage technology, so they can show projecting high-definition images and videos.

specifically, LG's oled transparent technology is combined (model 55EW5G) and its SuperSign solution for integrated content management. Being much more transparent than regular LCD screens, the door will be integrated naturally and seamlessly into any environment, reproducing very precise colors with a brightness and high contrast.

This transparent digital signage solution on automated doors will also offer excellent durability and greater safety thanks to its robust design with tempered glass.

"Innovation is the foundation of everything we do," says Christopher Norbye, Vp. executive and head of Assa Abloy's entry systems division. We are very proud to offer our customers this innovative product with the new transparent OLED sliding automatic door, putting them at the forefront with a solution to personalize their customers' brand and experiences".
