The 'Telediarios' of Spanish Television renew their image with Alfalite Led screens

On the set of the A2 studio in Torrespaña, Data Media has carried out the integration of a total of 350 ModularPix Pro devices 1 ORIM, with corresponding NovaStar NovaPro processing and scaling systems.

Data Average has been the company responsible for carrying out the integration of this entire complex system of Led screens that has been installed on the new set of the Newscasts of Spanish Television in the A2 studio of Torrespaña (Madrid).

For this project, The Corporation has opted for solutions of the highest range of Alfalite, a Spanish company with more than twenty years of experience in the sector, along with technology NovaStar.

In total, A total of four screens of different lengths have been installed (4, 7, 9 y 15 metros) with a height of 2,5 metros. The largest one has a length of 14 meters and a total resolution of 9.830.400 pixels (7.680×1.280). The total surface area of ​​the screens installed on this set is about 90 m², with a total of 350 ModularPix Pro systems 1 Alfalite ORIM and its corresponding NovaPro processing and scaling systems from NovaStar.

The ModularPix Pro P1 ORIM cabinet is mounted on an aluminum chassis, which provides greater precision and robustness in assembly. PowerBox includes a power supply designed by Alfalite, allowing maximum reliability and optimization of energy existing in the market by working below the energy requirement demanded by the panel.

The pixel pitch is 1,95 mm, composed of RGB 3 in one SMD. The pixel density reaches 262.144 pix/m2. The resolution that each panel has is 256×256 pixels, since it is composed of four modules of 128×128 pixels. The dimensions of each panel are 500×500 mm (250×250 mm each module). ORIM Technology

An innovative feature of these screens is that they have ORIM technology., consisting of layers of optical resins, that give robustness to the screen and improve its optical properties, providing a greater viewing angle without reducing brightness or contrast.

It is an optical injection of resin in the LEDs that allows greater precision between modules. (<0,02 mm) and the horizontal and vertical viewing angle is optimized (at 175º), in addition to increasing protection with antistatic electricity (ESD>10KV). All this with great protection against shocks, water and fire (U94-0 standard).

Processing and scaling

The image processing and scaling system is made up of NovaPro UHD, that integrates video processing, sending to Led screens with a resolution of up to 3,840×2,160 and the control system in a single product.
