State broadcasting center of Lower Saxony, Lower Saxony state broadcaster (Hannover -Germany), You have selected this equipment for its number of channels and sound quality.
The Rivage PM7 digital mixing system Yamaha has been chosen by Landesfunkhaus Nierdersachsen, state broadcaster of the German city of Hannover, which is part of the German public broadcasting service Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR), for its main concert hall.
The emissions of this company in Hannover date back to 1924, moving later, in the year 1950, to its current location, a facility that at the time was one of the most technically advanced production centers in Europe.
To the original concert hall -Kleiner Sendesaal-, with capacity for 350 personas, was added in the decade of 1960 la denominada Large broadcasting hall, with capacity for 1.250 people and which houses the NDR Philharmonic Orchestra.
In both venues, they celebrated annually, until the arrival of the pandemic, more than a hundred live concerts, shows, awards ceremonies and events, many of them broadcast live or recorded for later transmission.
With the needs of guest artists, producers and public expectations on the rise, both rooms have recently updated their audio specifications, including the installation of a Yamaha Rivage PM7 digital mixing system at Großer Sendesaal.
The audio team at Landesfunkhaus Nierdersachsen has been working with Yamaha digital mixers since the mid-1990s. 90, initially with a 03D and a 02R system, later adding a 01V96, an LS9-32, an M7CL and a PM5D.
The development of the CL and QL series was crucial for the store since, plus Yamaha menu structure, Audio routing through Dante made it easier to make larger productions. The Rivage PM series further improved the equipment's audio routing and operation options.
The Amptown System Company System Integrator (ASC) specified the Rivage PM7 system for this room, assessing your number of channels, its sound quality and its support for flexible operation for two users.
Specifically, Convenience of two-person operation allows technicians to mix large production, with an orchestra and a band, from a single control surface. The high number of mixing channels, effects and dynamics processors have been other reasons for purchasing the system.
Added to this was also the possibility of quickly and easily exchanging configurations between Yamaha digital consoles of different series.. This has greatly accelerated the internal workflow at Landesfunkhaus Nierdersachsen, as well as ensuring that visiting engineers save time creating their mixes.
ASC also provided training to Großer Sendesaal staff on the new mixing system and the Rivage PM operating system..
