Extron AV solutions foster collaboration at Viettel headquarters
Ten rooms at the headquarters have been equipped Viettel in Hanoi with more than 150 switching systems, AV distribution and control Extron.
The group Viettel is the largest telecommunications service provider in Southeast Asia, con 50.000 employees worldwide and 110 millions of its subscribers. The Vietnam Ministry of Defense operates the company as a state-owned enterprise. In 2020, thousand employees moved to the new headquarters in Hanoi. A Leed-Silver certified building, designed by the American architectural firm Executioner, that curves and tilts in the shape of an oval, inspired by the company's own logo, from the base to the top of its grass-covered roof.
Viettel headquarters incorporates cutting-edge building management systems to conserve energy, as well as sophisticated audiovisual systems in its meeting rooms and event spaces that promote collaboration and communication.
The professional AV integrator Hong Ky Technology and Investment Development carried out the design and integration of the extensive AV infrastructure. Extron chosen as distributor for all switching equipment, AV distribution and control.
Según Le Ngoc Thang, technical manager of Hong Ky Technology, “The Extron product range provides system designers the flexibility to select the optimal solution for each application”.
Sistemas Extron AV
Ten rooms were equipped with Extron AV systems, including conference spaces, training rooms and a large auditorium. The entire AV installation used more than 150 company products. Large and small conference rooms are located throughout the building, accommodating from 20 a 65 participants, and there is a training one with capacity for 52 students.
These rooms have AV equipment that includes multiple projectors, flat screen display devices, wired and wireless content sharing, PTZ cameras and wireless microphones.
AV systems are built on matrix switchers with scaler for DTP presentations CrossPoint 108 4K with DTP transmitters and receivers for distribution over shielded twisted pair cable.
Digital Matrix Processors DMP 128 Plus they adapt the audio in the rooms, including acoustic echo cancellation. The amplifiers XPA 2002 transmit to ceiling speakers SoundField SF 26CT. ShareLink Pro wireless presentation gateways allow attendees to share content from BYOD devices over WiFi.
Briefing room
The impressive briefing room features PTZ cameras and flat screen displays on all four walls..
When the flat screen display device 98 inches of the front is not big enough, a projection of 189 inches opens for use with a projector that folds out from the ceiling. Covering the front of the roof is a row of auxiliary flat-screen displays.
AV signal routing is performed by a matrix switcher XTP II CrossPoint 3200 that distributes content through HDMI inputs and outputs, SDI, analog audio and XTP twisted pair.
PTZ cameras transmit to the matrix switcher via a live video switcher and annotation processor Annotator 300 allows speakers to draw, jot down or write about live presentations.
The sound in the room is ensured by a DMP 128 Plus that conditions audio from program sources and wired and wireless microphones. Twelve ceiling speakers powered by an XPA amplifier 2002.
Viewing in the auditorium
The auditorium with 600 seats hosts the company's biggest events. The AV system in this space supports sophisticated production capabilities to organize them.
Features four studio cameras with outputs processed by a live video production switcher, four PTZ cameras, five HDMI sources, including three dedicated laptops, content from BYOD devices delivered via WiFi, via a ShareLink Pro wireless presentation gateway and stored content from a media processor for streaming SMP 352.
A ceiling projector provides the video image to the stage screen. There are six flat screen display devices in the audience seating area, in addition to auxiliary monitors and room control.
The auditorium has two XTP II CrossPoint matrix switchers 3200 that distribute content through HDMI inputs and outputs, SDI, analog audio and XTP.
XTP transmitters and receivers carry signals that travel long distances over shielded twisted pair cable. A DMP digital matrix processor 128 Plus adjusts audio delay and echo cancellation for auditorium acoustics.
Multiple auxiliary video outputs are routed to XTP/DTP series pass-through wall plates WPD 100 TP, placed by the audience, providing connection points for additional projectors or flat screen displays when needed.
An output of the switching matrix sends the event content to the SMP 352, that stores content internally or on removable USB drives and can stream it live or on demand.
AV control architecture in all rooms
All rooms share a common AV control architecture built on control processors IPCP Pro 360 and touch screens TouchLink Pro TLP Pro 1025T that simplify configuration, maintenance and operation.
The auditorium also includes a control processor IPL Pro CR88 to provide additional control ports.
Occupancy sensors OCS 100C turn on room systems when attendees arrive, and they turn them off when they are empty. They all have reservation screens TouchLink TLS 725M at the entrance. These show the availability of the room and allow reservations to be made on the same panel or through calendar services.
