CM Málaga 2024 will bring together the most avant-garde technology in the field of culture
The Palace of Fairs and Congresses of Malaga (FYCMA) will host the next 17 y 18 June the fourth edition of the event that welcomes professionals from museums and cultural industries. An initiative in which more than a hundred exhibitors will participate, among which are technology companies, universities, public institutions, associations and foundations.

Projects based on volumetric videos, artificial intelligence, digital twins, interactive mockups, digital art, holographic devices or art and neuroscience among other trends will make up the offer.

In this edition, more than one hundred exhibitors are expected to participate, of which the 75 percent are technology companies, that will share space with universities, public institutions, associations and foundations, in addition to other firms that offer products and services to the cultural sector. The CM Málaga exhibition space is aimed at companies that present a wide range of tools that promote the traditional museum concept., heritage and, in general, cultural disciplines as a whole, in addition to management models, communication and consumption.
So, technological demos will be shown with volumetric videos, digital art, interactive mockups, APP, 3D digitization, videos 360, holographic devices, audio guides or podcast; in addition to addressing artificial intelligence from different angles such as the presentation 'Artificial intelligence, art and museum experience: technological frontiers' by Miguel Rubio, policy officer, Unit A1-Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, Innovation and Excellence of the European Commission, or the presentation of a pioneering neuroscience study that shows the positive impact of art, with an immersion from the artist Silvia & The Spyglass.
Virtual and augmented reality; lighting solutions, catering and ticket sales; interactive screens, 3D animation and video games, or possibilities through digital twins, among other proposals, will complete the offer.
CM Málaga has a marked international character, not only because of the transversality of the technological world applied to culture and museums, but for the participation of exhibitors from the United States, Italia, France, Austria and Hungary.
CM Málaga 2024 It will have a work space for the international delegation promoted by Andalucía Trade made up of professionals from institutions such as the Louvre Museum., Museo d’Orsay, the Louis Vuitton Foundation, British Museum, the Van Gogh Museum, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Qatar Museums – Qatar Auto Museum, American Museum of Natural History, National Museum of Fine Arts of Quebec, Interpol, Jameel Arts & Health Lab/World Health Organization, Club Innovation & Culture CLIC France, and Veneranda Library (Art gallery) Ambrosiana.

CM Málaga the Ideatón
Along with it, 42 Malaga Telefónica Foundation promotes this year within the framework of CM Málaga the Ideatón 'Culture in code: Transforming culture through technology', with which the culture area of the Malaga City Council.
The objective of this activity is to promote the digital transformation and promote new business avenues for Malaga cultural agents through the formulation and resolution of technological challenges related to the challenges posed by digitalization in the field of culture..
Cultural agents and cultural professionals may participate in it., artists and creatives of any discipline, students of 42 Málaga, universities, business or vocational schools and any person over 18 years from any discipline, since multidisciplinary teams of 5 people maximum.
The Ideatón will take place at the FYCMA facilities and the campus 42 Malaga Telefónica Foundation, located in the building of National Digital Content Pole, and around several challenges proposed by various cultural entities and that will be announced at the start of the activity.
CM Malaga is organized by FYCMA (Malaga Fair and Congress Palace), from the Malaga City Council, next to the Tourism Department, Culture and Sports of the Junta de Andalucía, with the support of Diario Sur. The Innovation areas also collaborate, Digitization and Investment Capture, and Culture and Historical Heritage of the Malaga City Council.
