Wharfedale Pro Sound lands at Heathrow Airport

Middlesex Sound & Lighting has chosen the DP-4035F de Wharfedale Pro for the new cafe and grocery store located in the terminal 2 of the heathrow airport.

With more than 6,1 millions of tourists passing through this terminal 2, new dining destination Jones the Grocer has become a welcome addition. By offering gourmet food from around the world in its cafe and store, Middlesex Sound & Lighting implemented a smart sound solution to improve the atmosphere, including the Wharfedale Pro DP-4035F amplifier.

Located in the former Giraffe restaurant, Jones the Grocer was looking for a complete system renovation that was reliable and low maintenance. “We chose several brands that we knew would offer sound quality, ease of use and reliability”, explains Toby Jones, audiovisual designer at Middlesex Sound & Lighting. “It was the first time we had used Wharfedale Pro products and we were really impressed by the brand. The amplifiers are affordable without compromising quality”.

Jones the Grocer was originally established in Australia as a grocery store, “unconventional” cafeteria and cheese room, but has since expanded to more than 30 locations around the world, including the United Arab Emirates and India.

The Heathrow Airport Store System, Mainly responsible for background music, is divided into three zones with Wharfedale Pro's DP-4035F amplifier powering the entire audio setup.

“The client was clear from the beginning about his budget. We knew Wharfedale Pro products were very affordable, but we had also heard about its quality”, Jones continues.. “The amplifier was easy to set up and we also liked that the supplied editing software gave a detailed overview of the entire system and DSP functions”.
