Planar Led technology improves the gaming experience at Alter Brewing

In December 2015, Alter Brewing opened its tasting room in Downers Grove (Chicago – Illinois) and in 2020 opened his first restaurant in St. Charles. Two years later he had a second restaurant in Oak Brook. And after the pandemic he decided to readjust his strategy.

At first, the option of adding more TV screens to the existing ones or increasing their size was considered., but they realized that this would not create the impactful experience they were looking for. The solution had to be balanced, as it was essential to maintain the exclusive atmosphere of the restaurant without transforming it into a traditional sports bar.

“The client envisioned a welcoming environment that would encourage diners to stay longer and attract new customers., positioning Alter as a premier destination to enjoy sports and other major events along with a great dining experience”, states Brian Perreault, presidente de Barrett’s Technology Solutions. “That's when we started exploring the idea of ​​mounting a large LED video wall behind the bar to create a dynamic focal point., visible in most of the restaurant and that would elevate, raising the atmosphere to keep customers interested”.

Barrett’s Technology Solutions also installed a video processor which allows Alter to display up to four source images simultaneously. The system also supports a digital signage media player to display Alter's drink list or promote events and special offers. “The result is spectacular and completely transforms the space”, adds Perreault.
