The Coventry University (United Kingdom) has chosen They will listen to Oria to equip the new rooms Dolby Atmos of an immersive audio interface and a monitor controller.

“Oria's simplicity makes it easy to use, which has improved our workflow and helped staff and students get up and running with ease”, states Benoit Granier, director of the Music and Audio Production course at this educational center.

“The integration of the Dante card has allowed us to work seamlessly across our extensive network of Dante studios, integrating our current systems and hardware. We are using them in studios containing both PCs and Macs for game audio production, mastering and music production”, Granier continues.

A third Oria is being used for short-term Dolby Atmos installations. Will take advantage of SoundID Reference room calibration integrated into Oria, allowing multi-channel configurations to be accurately measured and calibrated in less than an hour.

Dolby Atmos is included in all Music and Audio Production curriculum courses that involve sound design, mixing and production, so it has been important for everyone to get up and running quickly.

“Both staff and students have enjoyed using Oria and the simplicity of the interface has made it easy for them to track and mix in Dolby Atmos. The learning curve has been manageable, since both the Dolby Atmos and Oria systems are designed to be easy to use, facilitating adoption by staff and students. It has allowed us to spend more time on mixing details, mastering and sound design for Dolby Atmos, instead of focusing on system installation and configuration”, said Benoit. This has been even more important when it comes to the master's course, whose students have been using and exploring Dolby Atmos and immersive audio to an even higher level.

Coventry University, which is not foreign to Audient, been using for years interfaces de audio iD4 and also has a ASP8024 in one of its six music recording studios. “Teaching with the ASP8024 has been great, as it allows students to learn more about workflow through hands-on experience with an analog table. The layout is clean and super friendly, Students are able to quickly achieve the results they want when recording”, añade Benoit.
